Heather was born with a passion for asking questions and researching answers so education has always been particularly meaningful to her. She grew up in Virginia and moved out to Utah to attend BYU! After graduating with a BS in Psychology and minor in Family Life, Heather served in the Texas Lubbock LDS Mission. Shortly after returning from her mission she joined the workforce first providing administrative assistance in a behavioral health hospital, and then in business support and supply chain capacity for a larger medical hospital; during which time Heather began an MBA program from Western Governors University. While completing these graduate studies, she set her sights on helping others to seek career advancement using education to achieve their goals, and eventually completed a graduate certificate in Academic Advising from Kansas State University in 2020. Heather returned to BYU in 2017 and worked in Continuing Education for 7 years before joining the LAAC.
Outside of work, Heather enjoys spending time with her rowdy family, learning in all its forms, exploring culinary and martial arts, enjoying nature, and getting lost in the the Star Wars Galaxy.
