Ky Cox

Anthropology, Psychology, and Sociology

Ky grew up in the small farm town of Holden, Utah. He is a first-generation college student and attended BYU for his undergraduate degree. During this time, he studied psychology and found his passion for helping others navigate their journey in life. Later, he also attended BYU for his master’s degree where he studied social work. Ky loved his graduate program and became even more passionate about advocacy work and helping others understand that success looks different for everyone and there is a deep importance of empowering decision-making.
After his time in school, Ky worked as a therapist and loved this work, but wanted to come back to academic advising and take on a role to assist students. Outside of work, Ky enjoys being outside, especially camping. He also loves being with people he cares about and spends most of his time with close friends and family.
